When the body is old
And out shape,
And the hair thins,
And the teeth shake,
Will you love me then?

When the hair is gray
From years well spent,
And the back is arched,
And the knees are bent,
Will you love me then?

When the tummy pouches
And the belly bulges,
As wrinkles surface
And the chin nudges,
Will you love me then?

When steps are shortened
As gait slows,
And strength diminishes
As weakness grows,
Will you love me then?

With eyes on the table
And teeth in a glass,
While together
Reminiscing the past,
Will you love me then?

When I grunt getting up
And groan sitting down,
And it takes me an hour
To turn around,
Will you love me then?

Will you love me
Through storm and rain?
Through joy and sorrow?
Poverty or gain?

Through sickness and health
To life’s uncertain end—
Will you still love me?
Will you love me then?

Knowledge vanishes.
Foundations decay.
Age matures,
And relations give way.
But love never sways.

Life is a vapor.
And time flees.
Though rivers end
And brooks cease,
Love will be.

Beauty fades,
And desires fail.
Tales end,
And paths grow dim,
But love is certain.

Leaves wither,
And days grow dark.
Flowers fade,
And souls depart.
But love is an ever-fixed mark.

Snow melts.
Even stars will die.
And the future is as uncertain
As the tide.
But love abides.

Love me as yourself,
I think this is the key.
For if you love yourself,
Then you can love me.

Love me as yourself,
Feel my joy and pain—
Laughing in the sunshine
And crying in the rain.

Consider all my needs,
Include me in your plans.
And let us walk together
As one, with hand in hand.

Love me as yourself—
In all sincerity.
May I to you be special
As you are to me.

Love me with respect,
And with dignity
Then I, your other half,
Will love you back. You’ll see.

Love me as yourself,
And then we as one—
While aiming for the stars,
Perhaps can reach the sun.

That special day is drawing near
When in cahoots the world will share
The badge of love that lovers wear
And all who would, will dare to share.

When the dust is settled,
It's love that's in the air.
When everything is gone
Love will still be there.

So through the thick and thin,
Couples just hold on.
Thro the weakest hour,
Look up and be strong.

Will you be there for love
As love is there for you?
Never quit on true love
Commit to see it through.
