Soon those golden bells
Pure and bright, once again shall
Peal in the joyful
Hearts of kind folks everywhere,
Signaling… Christmas is near.

Kids do stay safe this
Halloween. The times are not
As they once were, when
Children could have innocent
Fun. The world has grown darker.

Falling. Falling down.
Winnowing to the ground. The
Heaps and piles of leaves
Once all spry and full of life.
Now dried, withered, rustling leaves

In troubles, faith seems
To grow deeper, as one is
Compelled by that which
Is seen to rely upon
That which is not seen for strength.

Outside my bedroom
Window a little sparrow
Sings her morning song.
Reminds me of the cock that
Crows. But the sparrow, she sings.
