The cosmos celebrates
In orderly motion
The fact there is a God.
Such powerful notion.
It knows the moon can’t shine
Nor can the sun give light
Nor stars brighten the skies
On any given night
If there were not a God
Working behind the scenes.
In him all things consist
His power’s no small means.

(Praising God the Creator.)

You make the heavens smile
With your glorious face.
And cause the heart to sing
With your marvelous grace.

Organ, harp, piano
Guitar, cello and fife:
Orchestras performing
With pealing sounds in rife.

Ascending to heaven
Are praises from the earth
Declaring your glory
And showing your true worth.

Together the stars sing
And break forth with a shout.
They glisten and they gleam
And twinkle all about.

The moon does testify
A marvelous story—
The never-ending tale
Of God’s divine glory.

The brilliance of the sun
Points to his mighty hand—
That which created earth
And, too, created man.

Today, in the midst of my trials,
I will sing a song unto the Lord;
I will sing of his mercy and love.
Oh, God, accept my praise.
And be pleased with my worship,
Which is from a sincere heart.

In the darkest hour of distress,
My God has given a song
To sing in the morning, noon
And at midnight--
Whenever trouble brews.
Oh how calming
To my weary soul.
How peaceful to this
Trusting heart.
