Salute to Summer

For the wonder of your blue skies
The brightness of your gay sunshine
And variegated fair gardens
Pleasant mornings and fun beaches
For the due course, we now move on.

From the celestial equator
Comes a cryptic, clarion call
Ah, the autumnal equinox,
Ushering in a new zone—
The fall. Farewell dear Summer.
