Ben Tucker a Savannah Legend

He could have been your neighbor
Your father or your brother.
At eighty-four and going strong
He could have gone much further.

Savannah lost a giant
On that single fateful morn
Leaving souls to ponder
And a city’s heart to mourn.

With a voice soft and soothing
And a smile upon his face
It was Ben and Big Bertha
His famed instrument--the bass.

Remembered as a legend
Who’s personality wowed.
Everyone loved Ben
He stood out ‘mongst the crowd.

Ah. Ben Tucker and his bass
With that smile upon his face.
